Every journey has a beginning. The day my wife and I met online. The moment she said she would marry me. The discussion that proceeded starting a family. Putting the car seat in for the first time as we sped to the hospital. Searching Google for the preschool that gave us the warm and fuzzy. Every journey has beginnings.
I remember when my wife, Kristen, first asked about becoming a LuLaRoe consultant. She was so excited. I could sense it in her voice. At this time I was away for military training in Virginia. I was roughing it on the beach and going to class. (She was a tad jealous) She called me and told me she had something that she wanted to talk to me about and that it was a great opportunity. She then began to explain the LuLaRoe company and opportunity. I was not very skeptical until she arrived on the startup cost. Expecting to hear $100-$500, I was definitely taken back at the sound of $5000+.
Thus my research began. Researching. It's what I do. It is a hobby of mine. The more I researched, the more potential I was beginning to find. The business model for LuLaRoe was pretty impressive for a direct sales company. There were two particular points that perked my interest more.
After mulling over all that I had learned and thinking about all the money that I have wasted throughout our marriage, I told Kristen that I was on board. I was all-in on her. I believed in the product. I believed in the model. But more importantly, I believe in my wife. We took the leap and on-boarded to the ring of $8,800. Why? Go big or go home. Heard it in a movie once.
Currently, as of this post, we have been on this journey for 6 months. We have a little over $1000 to pay back on our investment, have a team of 7 amazing ladies, and enjoying this journey together. Our sales have seen a steady increase from $4,000 a month to over $10,000. It has stretched and grown us as individuals and as a couple.
This isn't a get rich fast scheme, though some have had tremendous success. It is work. It's a business. But it's yours. For life to be an adventure it has to be filled with journeys. Every journey has a beginning.
